SWINGING THE BLUES AT EL MOLINO

Did you know that the origin of Blues is the working songs sang by Afro-Americans workers in The US? From this it moves on to small venues with live music and studios adding some instruments, rhythms and lyrics to become the biggest American style worldwide.

We are lucky enough to have several blues events going on around Barcelona but El Molino is the best place to represent the cheekiest, funniest and craziest nights in Barcelona.

Swinging the Blues brings us closer to this music style where experts and amateurs are more than welcome to play, dance and just enjoy a different night on a Tuesday night. This show takes place the last Tuesday of every month so you better book your sport for them!

The band on stage will be The Black Snakes who gets their inspiration through the traditional sounds in Mississippi, Texas and New Orleans and different rhythms such as Delta Blues, Ragtime and Swing. The surprise will come by the hand of Swing Cats (we have already spoken about them) who will be dancing to the show music and interacting with the public 😉

The creative director of this project is Fredy García, who has created something  called www.fredyarmonica.net as a meeting point for all those who like harmonica, Blues, Rock’n Roll, the production of shows, concerts, festivals, music and the world that surrounds it. Our friend Roy from The Drinking Traveler might be quite interested in the harmonica lessons 😉
