BARCELONA AGENDA 10.4.16- 17.4.16
Looking for different and cool things to do in Barcelona? We bring you the best plans every week… or at least we try!
The agenda is getting fresher with this lovely weather every week. We always enjoy the sunshine and will try to focus on plans that will let you enjoy it!
MONDAY 11TH APRIL | EL BLUES DEL LUNES AT LA CAJA FUERTE
What a better plan for a Monday evening than a Blues session? Why don´t you start the week with energy and do something different? Too many questions and only 1 answer:
The second Monday of every month La Caja Fuerte organizes a blues session called Done got Young with various artist. This week they invited Sami Janafse and Fady Janafse, they pretty much sound like brothers, right?
If you are a blues lover and are looking for concerts you better put this on your agenda! Check out La Caja Fuerte website as well, they organize plenty of courses such as photography, singing, drama, etc.
TUESDAY 12TH APRIL | PAINT YOUR OWN TRAINERS WITH WANNA PAINT
Our friends from Wanna Paint are organizing a super fun event next Tuesday at Cocktails & Friends BCN. The cool thing about this meet around is that you can go with friends, your partner and just by yourself and meet people from different parts of the world while you create your own customized shoes and enjoy a free drink.
We think it’s the perfect thing to do on a Tuesday evening, Wanna paint organizes plenty of events as well so we will keep you posted!
The price of this course is 15€ if you bring your own trainers or 25€ if they need to provide them to you (tell them in advance!). More info, videos and tickets here.
WEDNESDAY 13TH APRIL | JUST KIDDING BARCELONA
Did I already say that I love this show and the guys organizing it are just great? I met them at a friend’s Art event a few months ago… It turns out that he was my friend´s English teacher back in 2008 and the she is from my home town in South Spain, what are the chances??
I went to see them for first time last month and we love the whole idea behind Just Kidding Barcelona. They bring different artists in every show who come up the stage for a few minutes to delight us with their unique sense of humor. We had the chance to see artist from Spain, Scotland, Mexico, America, India and Dominican Republic, among others.
The show starts at 9,30 but we recommend you to go early to grab a seat, a drink and relax to enjoy this awesome show! By the way, the entrance is free but they are expecting a contribution, behave yourself and show how much you like them 😉
THURSDAY 14TH APRIL | CAMPARI AFTERWORK
It was difficult to find a plan for Thursday. I went to visit a new Restaurant in Sants who´s owners asked me to meet them and the lady wasn’t the nicest… instead of talking about them which doesn’t seem fair I rather propose the Campary Afterwork in Casa Gracia. The place is just beautiful and super cool. We go there at least once per month because we love the decoration, atmosphere and the weekly events.
This Thursday they are throwing a Campary Afterwork, we have no idea what does that mean but for sure they will do a good work. You can take advantage of this event and try out some of their tapas to share, food as well is divine!
FRIDAY 15th APRIL | EL NIÑO DE LA TELE SALA FLY HARD
There is a place right in front of my house called Sala FlyHard. It seems quite cool and underground but I am always in a rush and didn’t pay much attention… Well, it turns out that is one of the best theater places in Barcelona according to Time Out Barcelona!
What makes them special is that they only have 40 seats and you are very close to all the artists performing, that way you feel like part of the drama. At the moment they are showing “El niño de la Tele”, a play from Rubén Ramírez where he uses the monologue to make fun of himself and his failed career as a “young prodigy” when he was a kid.
More info and tickets here.
SATURDAY 16TH APRIL | ATRAPALO FUN FEST
There are two incredible cool things to do on Saturday and we are going to both! One is Florence and the Machine Concert, the other one Atrápalo Fun Fest!
They are using Poble Espanyol installations for a fun day full of concerts, food, cultural activities and plenty of surprises. I think Poble Espanyol is quite cool itself and when they open the doors for this kind of event I just love it. The weather forecast seems to be positive as well so, what are you waiting for to get your tickets? It´s only 3€!
SUNDAY 17TH APRIL | RUMM GASTRONOMIC FESTIVAL
If you were looking for a day little getaway this is the perfect weekend for you. With the beginning of the spring season all the cities and villages in Cataluña are waking up and offering an amazing variety of cool things to do.
This weekend Lleida is celebrating the “Rumm Gastronomic Festival” where the music, lighting and 30 food trucks will make the amazing “Campos Eliseos de Lleida” look even better. Perfect plan outside Barcelona to enjoy with family and friends!
Pss… if you decide to stay in Barna you can go to the Sagrada Familia Festival and see the Castellers 😉
