ROSITA AT INDEPENDENT THEATER FESTIVAL MUTIS VIII

One of those independent theater plays we immediately know are special and mostly when we spoke to them for more info and the Director answered himself being a total sweetheart.

Rosita is a play written and directed by Misael Sanroque that will come up life for first time this Friday 17th of March at the VIII Festival MUTIS. Rosita Benavides is a imaginary character who was very famous on the trans theater and television world and who decided to turn her career into a most serious shows reciting poetry. The night of the premiere she dies and characters from her past live attend the funeral. Rosita is watching everything that her friends (and enemies) say from the other world.

The main character is slightly based on Carmen de Mairena, one of the most famous trans in Spain and proud owner of El Cangrejo (I will speak more about that marvelous place in another post). The night of the premiere is a free show so make sure you arrive on time!
